All of us know we have some of the same things in the safe or we see them selling on Forums for sensible prices. Some people have money to burn.
Cool! I have a 3" 60-10 with what I will now call a black sharkfin should be worth twice or three times that 60-1 snubby plain sharkfin....

I'll play. How about this one? Showed up in my e-mail feed this morning...

Not sure what makes this rare as he doesn't even identify it as a Model 29 (nickel) or 629. Looks like a pretty standard S&W .44 Mag - a $600 - $1000 gun all day long.

So week by week I will try to spot more such foolishness. If you see something that might qualify please post it here.

My favorite crazy gun prices are the ones where a seller who paid $500 for a Glock now thinks that after shooting it for 500 rounds and stippled the crap out of it making it look like my german shepard chewed the grip endlessly now feels with the break in and customized grip it is now worth $ 650 ! I dont make any offeres for guns from sellers with that belief !

Quite often we can find ridiculously priced guns right here on poofa.
I get quite a few auction mailings, and some of the reserve prices on "collector" pieces are in the 5-6 digit range.

I routinely go through the Horst auction results to have a giggle.
