Default Remington 887, where are you?

Thinking of an all around 12 gauge shotgun. The Remington 887 comes to mind. It is relatively inexpensive and it will take all 12 gauge loads, including the 3 1/2 magnum. What happened ? It is not to be found in the 2016 catalogue.
You don't have enough guns untill you don't know how many you have.

They've got the 870 Express for dirt cheap. They must have discontinued the plastic fantastic after all the issues it had.

I had one of those 887's very briefly. The front sight broke off the second trip to the range shooting standard 2 3/4" target loads. Very disappointed with it overall.

Take a look at Mossberg, Browning or Benelli. I wasn't impressed by the 887 I've seen, not to mention they got recalled for a sticky firing pin.

Note: I'm not a big Remington fan...

We've got two of them on consignment in our shop for ~$400 I think. Both were unfired and come with the original box and stuff.

I just noticed that too. Checked out all other shotgun manufacturers and do not care for any of the models. It's a SHAME because that was the COOLEST looking gun and completely tactical shotgun right out of the box.

Met all my specifications for a tactical shotgun. It's too bad it got a bad rep. I hope they come out with an improved model with the same looks and specs. Perhaps next year?

They seem to be having problems with other rifles. Don't know what is bothering them there.
