    Question If you could own any 1911 what would it be?

    If money was no object I would get either a Ed Brown or a Wilson Combat pistols.

    I'd probably get one of those old, vintage 1911's...like maybe a 1920 issue or so. Don't know why, but they are pure, simple and beautiful! But until then, I am completely happy with my PT1911!

    I would look into what my use of the 45 would be, that is will I use it for target shooting then I would look for a set up for that in mind, but if it were for self defense than I would look really good at that set up.

    I own the SW1911 and use it for target shooting and never had a problem with it. But I do like the Kimber line just don't have the bread for one.

    Another Garthwaite custom. I've grown really fond of the Garthwaite Gold Bead.
