    Angry Wideners!!!...new ownership

Saw a few threads on some other forums. Wideners, one of my "go to" places for reloading supplies is apparently under new ownership.

Website is different now, and prices are up...a LOT. A lot of complaints so far from lots of people.

They always had great deals, especially if you bought bulk. The website was always a bit of a pain to use (early vintage internet), but well worth the hassle considering some of the deals they had. They were even getting into more and more gun parts the last couple of years.

Glad I made an order in December, but not sure what I am going to do now....they were top notch.

New website, new prices. Hope it's not a sign of gouging to come in this election year. Depending on what I need I find the smaller vendors like RMR, NEreloading and others giving the best deals if caught at the right time.
It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

I wouldn't panic till we see any changes. New ownership does not always mean a change in the way they do business and may actually be better.

I agree Wideners was a good operation and the people who purchased that know it since they are keeping its good name.

I have seen other companies sell and keep going and no one was the wiser as well as others like Classic Arms who I personally feel (along with a lot of other pissed off folks) went down the shitter after a few years.

My only wideners purchase resulted in a credit card hack. I say good riddance.
