Re: Doctors can report some mentally ill patients to FBI under new gun control rule

Not to say there isn't some bondo filled cracks in the new legislation, but it seems that it's just going to open up reporting of 302s and being found mentally adjunct by a court. Again it could just be a precursor for a more blanket term of "mental health" down the road. Or maybe since it's late I skimmed a little to fast and missed a big red flag.

Re: Doctors can report some mentally ill patients to FBI under new gun control rule
How many police officers have had mandatory psych visits or sought help for anxiety or depression resulting from their job?
Are their guns going to be taken away as well?

Re: Doctors can report some mentally ill patients to FBI under new gun control rule
So I read the link above in Bluesilver's post. Looks to me like people who are involuntarily sent to mental hospitals or people with out the mental capacity to take care of them selves are impacted. This isn't any different than what is in place now. I think the difference is that, that person's doctor can now report that person to whatever it is they report to.
As someone with depression, and anxiety, this does have me concerned. Am I a violent person? No. Am I bat shit crazy? No. I have depression. I'm on medicine for both. I'm not ashamed of this fact.
So if I can't buy guns anymore because of this, then I assume I'm not allowed any rights in the rest of the Constitution. It's almost like I will be considered a felon.
Well, if it comes down to it, so be it. Molon Labe.

Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities. Voltaire.
America must suffer until it reaches the point that Liberty is more important than Comforts.

I've read where doctors have reported patients to state DMV and had drivers licenses revoked because of excessive alcohol abuse , something like a 6-pak a day.
I don't speak English , I talk American!

Do you know what the most popular "recreational" drugs are in Clemson SC? Adderall, Vyvanse, Ritalin, Focalin, and other ADHD drugs. Students need to take them to compete with other students who are taking them. It's funny because they have no interest in pot because it reduces mental performance. They instead need to be strung out on extended release amphetamines.
