Re: FNX 45 vs Glock 21
I wish I could have gotten my G21 that cheaply...Oh well,I have had it for a number of years and am happy with it so no need for me to look into the FNX.

Re: FNX 45 vs Glock 21
Buy Glock G21 for $550(Id make sure its Gen4, because they comes with 3 mags instead of 2).
Buy Glock Night sight set through Glock.com for $57.
Buy 500 rounds of .45ACP Tulammo from Midway USA for $170.
Buy Basic Fobus Kydex range holster for $22.
Everything you need to break in your gun, ditch the garbage plastic sights, and get your self proficient shooter, and have $2 left for sodaLast edited by Mity2; January 6th, 2016 at 12:09 AM.

Re: FNX 45 vs Glock 21
i had a 21 gen4, put 50 rounds thru it and it did nothing for me...and i am a glock guy, so i sold it to buddy of mine. a few weeks later, i shot a FNX-T at a USPSA practice. i just had to have one!
if i had to rely on either platform, i would choose the 21. the FNX is kinda quirky with the mags dropping free and too many controls (safety, decocker, decock too far and it goes to the safety).
my 45s are range toys, i don't carry one or use one for home defense, so that is why i still have the FNX-T.

I sold my 21 for the FNX, the accuracy Is amazing, and never a jam or mag drop.

Re: FNX 45 vs Glock 21
there are a lot of threads about mags not dropping free if you google it. mine only does it if i press and continue to hold the mag release button. sometimes a mag will hang up on a reload as well. when i was doing reload drills on the shot timer, it was pretty annoying. no big deal for a range toy though.
like i said, if i had to choose one to rely on, it would be the 21.

Re: FNX 45 vs Glock 21
We had Gen 3 Glock 21's for duty weapons & I liked them. They were reliable & accurate, but they were big, fat, ugly things. The wide, flat part on top of the slide always reminded me of an aircraft carrier flight deck. I've never handled a FNX, but the ergonomics have to be better than the Glock.
