Default debating on a 2 different gun purchases

So I've got the kind of delimia we all want, lol
I'm eyeballing a Remmington R11 .45 handgun for a bout 750 at dunhams here in bradford.
    or
I can snag a normally 1500 dollar bushmaster for 640 at dunhams
i think it be about 900 with the scope and cleaning kit and case etc.
so am I better off with the pistol or the AR?
I can always go lower on the scope too

Given the times we live in everybody should have 1 good fighting long arm. My vote, the rifle.

Dunham's normal prices are very inflated. Their sale prices are good but they use them to make the sale look even better.

There's a reason why Dunhams gives away 20% off coupons like toilet paper in a public restroom...

I walk in, look around, and almost always leave empty handed. Most of the time I'm there to look if there's any good deals on clothing.
