    Default New gunshop in Northampton

NJT arms, small shop, been open a few weeks. Had a reasonably decent inventory. prices seemed about medium retail. ammo prices were decent. I don't know anything about the owners, but a new option is always good. Their sign says buy, sell, trade. 2145 main st. Northampton

I'm using NJT as my FFL for a rifle transfer from out of state. The gun was delivered to their shop today...haven't heard from them yet. I thought the address was 2259 Washington Avenue.

Visited the shop today to pick up my Hi-Point 9mm carbine. Shop had a few customers and a good selection of handguns and rifles were on display. Prices were good AFAIK...I asked if the pistols that I was looking at were used because of the prices. They were, in fact, not used; they were all new. The transfer - for $25 btw - was easy and I scored an empty box that I needed to mail a Marlin Glenfield. Now, I do all my transactions online but that can change based on today...I'd definitely go back to NJT and worth a trip if you're in the area.

They handled a transfer for me on Saturday. Very professional staff. Transfer was $20.

Went in here to check things out last night. Bought some ammo for a good price and got a holster for my Taurus 605.

Owner is a nice guy and takes the time to talk to you. I'll be stopping in there again. Be warned though, the only parking is on Main Street in front and can get congested.

Higher price probably for ship ins rather than for a private deal...

Just in case anyone else was confused about where to have something shipped to.
just got off the phone with NJT Arms, and the shipping address is

    NJT Arms
    2145 main st. Northampton, 18067

Not the 2259 Washington Avenue address

ordered a PSA complete lower this weekend, and didn't see NJT listed as a FFL that they had on file in their drop menu. Called PSA this morning and they do in fact
have his creds. All is good,

I went in this place today. The guy who runs the shop is Nelson and he was there with his family. The shop is small and had some revolvers, glocks, 1911s and your usual variety. He had some ammo, again, priced on par. He did have some bulk .22 for a good price. There was some reloading items as well. I would say his prices are on par with surrounding stores. He does transfers face to face for $20 and if shipped online $25.

Relic Firearms is up he street and is usually busy. I could see coming down the road a bit to using Nelson for transfers when Relic is swamped. Anyway, I thought I'd post my thoughts. I enjoy a gun shop in town.

He had decent hours as well.
Monday and Tuesday open until 6pm
    Wed-Friday open until 8pm
    Saturday open until 5pm.
