    Default Good sling for AR?

I went to grab my Magpul ms3 sling to see if the clip fits well on a new end plate I plan on using on my current build when low and behold I realize I must have left it at my range the last time I was there. Because I had the options I have my gun set up for either a single or two point attachment system. I haven't done enough training or drilling that is sling specific so I'm not necessarily locked into the idea of getting another exact model of what I had. Honestly I haven't paid any attention to the sling market since I had this so I am wondering what's currently out there. Any advice as always is greatly appreciated. Brian

Here's a thread I started on slings a while back.
There may be other options out there now, but I had a lot of good input so I figured it may help.
Lots of brands/links to check out.

Funny. I never did settle on one. Money got tight and I just put it on the back burner.

Blue force gear vcas 2 point adjustable slings are amazing. I have 3 of them.

I would go with the unpadded version.

I am fond of the TT padded 2 point I purchased last year. Great quality and easy to work with.

Are we supposed to be born knowing what a "TT" is?

One more for the Blue Force Gear VCAS.

I like the padded, but I'm older... and you can save $10 on the standard.

With the Burnsed Socket you can do the 2 point/single point conversion just like the Magpul.

If you have 'clip' receivers not QD receivers, you may want a pair of snap shackles.

    http://milspecmonkey.com/store/hardw...le-1-slot.html

I had an early MagPul & liked it O.K. but didn't like their 'non-compatability' with other parts so to swap one sling between rifles I had to put MagPul receivers on all of them.

One BFG VCAS sling, (2) snap shackles or mash hooks, etc. and (2) QD sling swivels, (and on very rare occasions a little para-cord) and in ≤ 1 minute you should be able to sling up just about any rifle (intended to be slung) you want.

Just looked at the TT (Tactical Tailor) sling The Hobbit mentioned, and it looks very similar though "springy" and a little less $$.

    Good Luck.

Edit: Guess it's been a while since I visited MagPul.com. Looks like their MS1/MS1 Padded slings are a takeoff on the BFG VCAS idea also.
