Re: Trump and Guns
If the RNC dosen't get behind Trump and help unify the party, they will have only themselves to blame when they cause Republicans to lose yet another election.
As far as Trump's donations to various politicians? You know he makes no secret about it... In fact, Sanders is more likely to get the DNC nomination if it looks like Trump will get it from the RNC. Imagine if Trump were on the stage debating Hillary... Him talking about how he bought and sold the Clinton's, and what he actually got out of it. Game changer.

Re: Trump and Guns
My problem with Trump is not what he is saying about the 2A now, it is what he will DO about the 2A if he is in office. Imagine a Democrat controlled Congress sending him an AWB, or some type of more restrictive gun control legislation? He's a DEAL MAKER. If he has something he wants he views more important than the 2A to make him look good, he may just cave.

Re: Trump and Guns
A difference between a politician and a successful business person is what they consider a good deal. They both have to do a lot of dealing, but have different standards for what they consider an acceptable deal. The politician deals with other people's money, has little consequence for making bad deals, and has the might of the government to support bad or unethical decisions.
The business person has much more strict peramaters. For a variety of reasons the successful business person must be an artist in arriving at win-win deals. They have to protect their assets, but they know they have to pave the way for the next deal. As such the simple rule for successful business people is that a deal is either win-win, or no-deal, period.
That being the case, when Trump makes deals in government he will be better qualified to achieve solutions that don't have the traditional win-lose concept we constantly see from politicians who experience no consequences for throwing away your rights and tax dollars.

O'reilly said if the FBI says Hillary broke the law and she is not prosecuted by AG Lynch or impeached, he's going to put as much air time to insight the public and embarrass politicians.

Re: Trump and Guns
Nixon got away with it - why can't Hillary? Why can't Eric Holder?
Do we hold Democrats to higher standards? Or, do we give a pass to Republicans when they do stuff like invading a sovereign nation for preemptive purposes?
As for Trump and guns? Don't trust him, at all. Then again, I don't trust Christie or Jeb! much on that point either.

Re: Trump and Guns
If memory serves, Nixon was IMPEACHED over the Watergate break in cover up, and forced to resign. So no, he did not "get away with it". Now Bill Clinton DID get away with it. He was impeached for lying under oath, but never was forced to resign. He now lives a life of great richness, prosperity, and luxury by being a lobbyist for our foreign enemies. Nice, huh?
