Two pages back (Post #254) I posted photos of the two lowers I had to decide on using.
One is the Anvil Arms "PAFOA" lower I ultimately used - the other is an Anderson. (which is the same brand as the upper and an exact match)

As already noted, the PAFOA lower is a "blacker" finish as well as not being as "flat" as the finish on the Anderson.

I'd prefer a better match, but it is what it is.

It's not complete until I get my chosen furniture, but it's complete enough that I was able to take it to the range to shoot today!

I took 5 brands (all FMJ) of ammo to try and 4 brand new PSA (Metalform) Colt pattern 32 rd mags.
I loaded 10 rds of each for starters and it ran all of them without a hitch! Then I just started loading whatever was closest.
I just wanted to be sure it functioned, so I didn't shoot it a lot - maybe 200 rds.

Oh yeah! If you don't have a Lula loader for loading mags you're an idiot! My dumb ass has been putting off buying one for years - maybe decades.
OMG! I can't believe how EASY it is to load a mag with this gadget!!!

    Anyway...

    PEW! PEW! PEW!!!

    9mm AR15? Fuckin' A!!!

Nice job. I finally decided to go with a dedicated lower instead of the block for mine. I'm gonna order one of the psa Glock magazine lowers this morning. I've already got a lpk lined up for it. Then it's off to work on upper parts

Thanks, but it's not finished. The grey Mission First Tactical furniture is on it's way soon!

I'll probably post a new thread when I get that on it. I just figured some teaser pics were in order and I couldn't wait for the parts - I needed to SHOOT it so I put some temp stuff on it.

I expect mine to be finished about this time next year. Unless I get impatient waiting on the Form 1 for the 10.5" Colt SMG upper and just slap a 16" RRA upper on it.
