private sales questions
OK so, I have a question. I was at a local gun store and they told me they recently passed a LAW that as of NOW< all private gun sales require a , transfer and background check on rifles and shotguns??
IS this something new that has just taken place that I have some how missed
as it was always MY understanding that on long guns, it was still a cash and carry as long as , seller any ways, felt buyer was a honest person??
its NOT that big a deal to me, but has me wondering is this changed recently, and if so, any info on would be great, to have on hand for suture buys/sells
thanks for any in put here too!

Re: private sales questions
For longarm sales between Pa residents that occur in Pa, there is no requirement for an FFL's involvement.

Re: private sales questions
I would prefer NOT to say the name, due to from time to time I get great deals there and well, don't want to bite the foot off that works for me some times LOL
as again I think he was saying this trying to drum up some extra business, as he had a bunch of customers in the store talking about selling each other rifles, NOW deer season is over, and NOT buying what he had!!
so, hope you can understand me not wanting to bash the guy too much
had it just been a random store I never go to, I would for sure
I always take most things I hear with a grain of salt, a LOT of KNOW IT ALL"S out there that don';t know crap
and sadly the even dumber spread the word all too fast!!!
But thanks again guys
I also posted a second question, if you can shed some light on for me and a friend, about a hand gun sale

Re: private sales questions
I'm in NEPA and I frequent all of the area gun stores. I too would like to know the name of the shop.
