LEOSA Qualification
Looking for a LEOSA firearms certifier for the annual qualifications requirement in the vicinity of Berks County.
Anyone have a name and number?
Thanks!

Hopefully you will get a response here from someone more helpful.
If not try here: http://www.psp.pa.gov/MPOETC/rleia/P...}#.Vmn0bUQo5Ms"It seems that the Constitution is more or less guidelines than actual rules"

Re: LEOSA Qualification
Sorry I didn't see this topic sooner.
Get a hold of Berks FOP Lodge #71. http://www.berksfop71.org/contact/contact.htm
They coordinate a leosa qualification every year.

Re: LEOSA Qualification
No..there are enough stray dogs for all of us to shoot 6 or 7 a piece!!! I have a safe full of handguns that I will never be able to carry over my (by the time I am done) 33 year career..... department policy only allows me to carry what I qualify with and they supply the ammo. So then the magic day comes when I retire... LEOSA has the same damn rule.. qualification and you can only carry what you qualify with.
I would rather forget LEOSA.... get my LTCF... carry all my safe queens.. never have to qualify again or worry about having my ability to carry a firearm stripped away from me... go blind and still be able to carry if I want to.
So I won't be able to carry in New Jersey.... big loss.

I was just busting balls half my family are or were cops and some have the same complaints. The other half are criminals so they don't give a shit either way.

Re: LEOSA Qualification
That's what I did when I retired. Moved from California to PA I was having a difficult time finding someone to qualify me. The first year I flew back to Cali and qualified with my agency. That gets expensive really quickly, so I decided to get my LTCF, then I could carry whatever gun I chose. I haven't looked back since. Since I don't do a great deal of traveling out of state it hasn't been a problem for me. Certainly worth considering.
