    Default New Ruger GP100 22LR!!

    Oh no! They had to......

Ruger has announced a GP100 22LR 10 shot 5.5" half lug barrel It says to have an improved fire control system that uses a lighter mainspring than previous Ruger double action 22 LR revolvers, which was an issue i read about with the SP101

This gun looks awesome (-: I was considering an SP101 22r but this one i think will be "the one" ha
I just can't help myself when it comes to shiny revolvers !

Looks nice, but I like full underlugs. Tech data: http://www.ruger.com/products/gp100/...eets/1757.html

That has been my complaint with the SP-101 22lr.

MSRP $829, really, for a 22 caliber, $400 would be top retail, and even that's a lot.
    Government 99 and 44/100 % pure bullshit.

I didn't even find the msrp-ohh that's high - but it seems 22 revolver prices have become substantially higher than they should be for the caliber. Maybe because they know everyone loves 22s. Not sure if that will deter me though ...

MSRP=\= actual retail prices. Ruger would like you to think their guns are solid gold and shoot diamond bullets.

My first thought when I saw it was that I had to have it. But then I realized I'd rather have the same gun in a 357 mag. 22 handguns don't really interest me, I have a Sig 1911-22 I bought because it was a good deal and to mainly use with new shooters. But if it were cheap enough, I wouldn't mind having one.

Nope. Nope. Nope. This is just stupid. The GP100 is a full size centerfire revolver. Leave it that way. That price is ridiculous. It's more than any other GP100.

Always loved ruger revolvers but 800$ is way high for a 22, lol call me a cheapskate but my favorite 22 revolver is a H&R 999 I got when I was 12 for Christmas.

At that price, I could get a S&W 617 and have change left over.
