What an idiotic article. Yeah, if forced to choose, I'd want crooks coming in thinking my house is a gun-free zone too....so they won't be expecting the lead they'll get. Advantage me. Part of crime deterrent, especially in PA, is that crooks don't know which homeowners will fire back and which will be easy targets.

At one point Hughes claims a minimally small homicide rate during home invasions off 100 is no reason to have a gun (because a home invasion by itself isn't that bad, right, and 'not one more child' isn't akin to 100 adults?).

Further down he claims there were 'only' 1600 defensive gun uses in the USA (cough, bullshit, cough). Apparently only firing your gun and killing the intruder counts in his eyes! None the less, playing his own numbers game, we can now claim even the anti-gunners agree, guns saved 1600 lives last year alone!

These guys are a joke.
