    Default moving from nc

I am originally from pittsburgh but moved to NC 4 yrs ago cause i joined the army and was stationed here . my time in the service is done now and i will be moving back to pittsburgh in a few weeks. while i was down here i legally purchased a couple handguns and i have a carry permit for PA . i was jus wandering if there is anything i have to do to make the guns legal in PA like register them or something. any comments would be appreciated.

    thanks

As far as my understanding of the law goes as long as they are legal to own in PA all you have to do is bring 'em with you. The only exception would be if you own NFA stuff that requires approval for interstate transport.

Coming back to the Burgh, huh?

Well, let me thank you for your service.
It was 1972 that I came back after a 3yr ,6 mo 18day absense for the same reason.

Unfortunately I don't know the law.

Maybe one of our resident legal or LEO guys can help out.

    later and welcome back.

when I moved to PA from NY I contacted the AG of PA. I asked him a bunch of questions. One was about bringing my handguns. He told me to just bring them into the state. I had a PA LTCF so he figured I was legally allowed to own them. He state that as well. If you have any questions I would call the AG and ask. It has been a few years now laws do change. I followed all the laws and it was very easy. No hurdles at all.

My big thing was driving them from NY to PA I had to go through NJ. I was a bit nervous about that.
