W. German Made P220
I just acquired an older P220 in fantastic shape. It's West German stamped on the slide and also has the proof marks, but has a '95 date code under the barrel which indicates a 1995 year of manufacture.
Considering that Germany reunified in 1990 and east/west no longer existed, how was something possibly made in W Germany after 1990?

Do you have matching serial numbers on the frame, slide and barrel? If not Frankensig comes to mind.

You might try over on the Sig Talk forum. There's a wealth of knowledge about the old Sigs there.

Reunification wasn't instantaneous and it took years to change many things over. It cost companies and the government hundreds of millions alone just to change signage, markings and other things.
