    Default 1911 club

For so long I held back on a 1911 as I read an article after article, post after post some high praise and some harsh criticism of the old .45 and the platform of the 1911

I don't know why but perhaps the negatives left me uninterested such as the limited capacity the cost and some claims of having to upgrade half the parts and customizing in order to get it right I held back for years staring at pictures.

So saturday I had the blues real bad and needed something to cheer me up, know where I'm going with this right?

Ok so I went to Tanner to see whats in the windows or those neat 1911s in the first case got my eyes wide open I asked to fondle a couple of Rugers Smiths Sigs Kimbers compact, full size and everything in between.

Picked up this one and the only way to get it out of my hand required a major surgery and reconstructive one after not to mention the emotional distress so decided to leave it attached to my hand

Sorry for the delay I was on mobile

My take, this is by far the most accurate in my hand simply put a tack driver it puts holes where you aim it, the quality is better than anything I have and I have Sig Browning Cz and others I only wish I hadn't waited so long, after shooting one magazine it was instant love affair it is now my favorite full size carry I picked up the Black Hawk Serpa didn't like the one that came with it, also picked up a Wilson combat 8 rnd SS magazine in addition to the 2, 7 rnd that came with it so far over 200 rounds and no hick ups, none
my only gripe at first was take down and reassembly
    one more for good looks

Congrats. A stainless "Loaded" was my first 1911 also. That was 2003 I think and I also felt like I waited too long. I still have it as well as two additional 1911's from Colt and Sig. Few models feel as good in your hand and look so good doing it. I also have found over the years that even first-time shooters tend to make good hits with the 1911. I also think the Internet reliability crap is a little overblown. Good luck with it.

I sometimes fondle 'other things' when I get a case of the blues, but I digress.

Great find! I picked up a SA Range Officer last December and love it. Also crossed 1911 off my bucket list.

Very nice mood enhancer! Like you, I waited 20 years too many to pick up my first shootable* 1911. Three years later and I now own three.

*we always had a WWII 1911A1 in the family, but it was a dog to shoot with crappy sights and a heavy trigger.
