Executive Order Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe Just Signed to ‘Prevent Gun Violence’

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe signed an executive order on Thursday prohibiting the open carry of firearms in state government buildings and creating a “Joint Task Force to Prosecute Gun Crimes.”

The order also sets up a new tip line for residents to report suspected illegal gun activity.

McAuliffe has been outspoken about wanting more gun control in the aftermath of recent mass shootings.

Here are a few items from the executive order.

Authorize Attorney General to Coordinate and Bring Criminal Cases Against Firearms Law Offenders. (Guess they don't bring criminal cases against firearms law offenders in VA?)

Establish Tip Line for Illegal Gun Activity. (Ever hear of 911)

Set a policy to request tracing of every gun used in the commission of a crime. (Aren't guns traced if used in a crime?)

Banning Firearms in State Government Buildings (We already know how "Gun Free zones" work!)

All Virginians have the right to feel safe and secure in going about their daily lives. (The progressive utopia!) We have a right to protect our self and family. That is a right you seem to forget about!

Established a Joint Task Force to Prosecute Gun Crimes (No need to re-event the wheel-Project Exile caused the number of firearm homicides to drop 41 percent in Richmond, VA.)

This order is nothing but a PR stunt from a anti-gun Governor.

No, that is what having a proactive anti gun culture and a non-proactive pro gun culture does to things. Northern Virginia should be turning people pro gun rather than letting the cultural change go the other way. Seriously, did they learn nothing from CA, NY, NJ, and MA's experience?
