Default Scope options for .308 AR

I am looking to purchase a scope for a new POF .308. I have a limit of $1300, and there are so many choices with many more options I am trying to find the best scope for my price range. Looking for a variable powered scope with .250 mil adjustment.

The Bushnell Elite Tactical line w/h59 reticle is tits. It goes with AR10s like peas and carrots.

The only question I have is; does the rifle actually warrant such a high end scope? Do they really shoot all that well?

It is a pretty accurate rifle, shoots sub-moa at 200yds. Only shot it with my buddies zeiss on it that he let me borrow for the day. Range only went to 200yds, otherwise I would see how far it would keep decent groups.

SWFA's 3-15x would be another very good choice.

I really like the Leopold Mk6 1-6x with CMR. I had this on my SR25 ECC 16" and was able to hit targets at 600 yards reliably with FGMM 175. I'm not a great shooter but once I was given good instruction, I was getting hits in about 10 minutes.

Jack Leuba from KAC basically told us that the Optic is the weapon, the gun delivers the projectile. If your gun and ammo combo is capable of delivering MOA, it's then important to have a good scope that gives you enough information to make good calculations.

    Anyway, jmo from a novice.

Get an FFP scope with matched reticle and turrets. I prefer MRAD and this would be a deadly scope on an AR10. Don't cheap out on the mounts.
