    Default Is this considered rude?

So I went out this afternoon, and instead of using a mask or net I always use that camo paint on my face. I was completely under dressed today and I froze my butt off. I actually packed up early and was in my car at 5:30pm. My uncle called me and told me to meet him at a local bar. Now this bar is in New Hope-Solebury area, and it draws quite the eclectic crowed. I go there frequently and know all of the bartenders and staff. I figured I would just go and get a tea with whiskey to warm up and defrost.

I did not go in with my knife on my belt or anything, but I was in full camo, and obviously had my face paint on.

On my way in the manager is standing in the door way with her arms crossed and I was expecting to hear that I was not allowed in looking like this. She said nothing and I took a seat by my uncle. I got tons of stares and the bartenders who know me would not let it be, and even my uncle was telling me how I should have at least cleaned up my face before I came in. After a couple minutes the bartenders saw how cold I was and were quick to get me some hot tea with Jameson.

I do not care what people think, or if there were any anti hunters or anti gunners in there, but the last thing I want to come off as is rude.

Do you guys think that it is rude?

Some guys in the bar came up and asked me if I got/saw anything but I was definitely the talk of the bar, and most of the looks I was getting were not friendly .

If you saw me in the bar, would you be thinking this is rude? or am I overthinking this?

Being a hunter myself i would of asked how ya did/ did ya see anything.

As for rude....no. The guy with blue hair in dreds with a purse wearing tie die that dosent match isn't rude then neither are you.

Now if you were wearing a striped shirt with plad pants that would be rude.

You weren't french kissing your uncle at the table, were you? Because THAT would be rude. I hear there's a lot of that shit up there.

I have done the same thing many times, knives of Alaska on my belt and no one batted an eyelash. Come down to my neck of the woods.

Camo face paint first day of archery in the State of PA, NOT RUDE. Any day of the year, any state, pants sagging down with more than half your butt sticking out "wish I could wide-foot kick your ass" RUDE. BUt had my uncle told me to go to the restroom and wash up, I would have...after that first cup of warm the cockles of my heart.

New Hope is close enough to Jersey that you get some "eclectic" types, as you put it.
I always thought of it as an artistic/touristy community filled with what you might call "not real men". Not a hunting kind of town.

Thats my whole point, I always pride this town on being so diverse. You go to a bar, you may see some MC's flashing colors, some transgenders, and the district attourney all at the bar. Such a tolerant and accepting town. But I felt as though people took my appearance as offensive. Oh well thanks for your responses wont think twice about doing it agian. =)

Unless you were drinking in a gun club, yeah, you would draw attention. No, it's not "rude", but how could anyone not grasp that 99.999% of people don't go to a bar in camo facepaint? Of course you'll get looks and people will crack jokes.

    It's not offensive, it's weird.
