Wise to not name a shooter?
I like that sheriff. One of the media attending his conference spoke of his generally recognized belief in the 2nd amendment. He said you won't hear the shooters name from our department (leaving it to the coroner to mention in his report).
That's all well and good, when thinking about denying the shooter his infamy, but it also is kind of like taking down the rebel flags.
Removing flags is symbolic. Removing names likewise. Carried too far, people who might contribute information cannot if they have no one to key on. Information rebuffed is not a great idea.
Similarly, accusing anyone of "politicizing" an event is not conducive to understanding. It is another form of PC, discouraging free speech. As much as it may be true of Obama, a successful stifling of ideas, concepts, perceptions and beliefs applied to him would then be equally applied to someone trying to reason with law makers regarding the causative affects of gun free schools.
I would much rather Obama feel free to give himself away.
