The one I got from Rep Metcalf is 143 pages if you include the Table of Contents (he doesn't) and also include the Index at the back (he does).
The one I got from Rep Saylor is the one that is 170 pages. Admittedly I haven't combed through it to see if someone stuck in a few pages on
hunting, defensive use, etc., but both booklets bear the title of Uniform Firearms Act.

Grab one from your Rep, check it out.
It probably includes the UFA along with other laws pertaining to firearms and hunting. If you included everything from title 18, 34, and related federal statutes I could see it being pretty long.

Not on a pedal bike, which you may not like. Not on a horse, because no LTCF of course. Not in a city of the first class, because you want to protect your ass. Not during a state of emergency, even if you think there's urgency.

The answer seems to be in the middle. The full act is about 30 pages, not 172

The important parts are about 5 pages.

While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Precisely (alas and alack, rep button broken for RLS - help please).

My copy has 138 pages but it includes, in addition to dispersed sections of the UFA, other firearm related laws:

    1. dispersed sections of the Unconsolidated Statutes (between 1850 and 2005);
    2. sections from Title 5, Title 18 (multiple non-UFA sections),Title 22, Title 23, Title 30, Title 34, Title 35, Title 42, Title 44, Title 51 Title 53 Title 61, Title 75.

These diverse Titles have the following heading subject matter:

    5 ATHLETICS AND SPORTS
    18 CRIMES AND OFFENSES
    22 DETECTIVES AND PRIVATE POLICE
    23 DOMESTIC RELATIONS
    30 FISH
    34 GAME
    35 HEALTH AND SAFETY
    42 JUDICIARY AND JUDICIAL PROCEDURE
    51 MILITARY AFFAIRS
    61 PRISONS AND PAROLE
    75 VEHICLES

B and D also deal with firearms, which are an extension thereof.

    From Subchapter A (18 Pa CS §§6106-6127):

§ 6101. Short title of subchapter.

This subchapter shall be known and may be cited as the Pennsylvania Uniform Firearms Act of 1995.
