Bear Hunting
Hey fellow Pike County residents. Does anyone know of a good place to hunt bear? I keep hearing Shohola but would like to know some honey spots so I can harvest my first Bear.

Re: Bear Hunting
I hunt in the State game lands of pike county. More so the area of Promised land state park. You will find plenty of space and hear lots of shooting. My Brother has gotten one Bear in the area so far. If you do decide to hunt in the area of Promised land state park be sure to carry a compass. The area is mainly flat and land features are far and few in between.

Re: Bear Hunting
Come stand in my yard on Monday mornings. You can take care of the 350lber that gets in my trash. Neighbors may not like it but I'd appreciate it.

Re: Bear Hunting
I've got 5 regulars, a male around 300 lbs, a smaller at 175 or so lbs and a momma and 2 cubs. What I find unusual is they have been lingering longer than normal. At least that's what the trail cam shows.

Re: Bear Hunting
You can play "whack a mole" with the one in my neighbors crawl space. Just wait for him to stick his head out... This is the small guy. There's a big ass male with a white tag on it's right ear that goes in there. Why my wife calls every bear "Bear" is beyond me.
