    Hostetter Butcher
1473 Bowmansville Rd, Mohnton, PA 19540

You should drop off your deer tagged and gutted with the hide still on, and they'll get it in the freezer right away.

Several of my friends have used Hostetter for more than a decade.

    See post below for pricing.

Default Current Price list for 2015

This is the current price list for the 2015 - 2016 season.

Please drop your deer off already gutted, with the hide still on, because they will freeze it. They are about two weeks behind on processing deer.

    PLEASE, NO SUNDAY DROP OFFS!!!

Also, they close early on Wednesdays at 5:00 PM, in order to be able to go to church.

For the Sweet Bologna, you'll need about 27 lbs of meat, in order to get all your own meat in the bologna, since the bologna is made in batches.

And for the Sweet Sticks, you'll need about 30 lbs of of meat, in order to get all your own meat in your batch of Sweet Sticks.

The Muscle Jerky is $5.00 per pound WET weight, BEFORE drying.

Does anyone know if this place is still open? Searching for someone in this area.

    Thanks!

Yes, Hostetter's is definitely still open. Once you visit there, you will see that they are unlikely to close (stop doing business) anytime in the next few decades. They are always closed for business on Sundays though.

FYI, they also make their own bacon, if you want to pick some up while you are there. You can also butcher your own deer and just take whatever meat there that you want processed.

Give them a call if you have any questions, or before you head over there. It's easiest to back up to the loading dock to unload your deer.

Still the same price list posted above for this season.

Yes, it’s that simple. You can walk in and pick up a price list and decide what you want.

They usually butterfly the back straps, but what is done with any other cut is up to you.

Your deer most likely will be frozen solid in the huge walk-in until they can start the processing. No credit cards, checks and cash okay on pickup.

Since the season is over in PA, should be a pretty quick turnaround. Follow their suggestions when ordering if you’re unsure.

Oh yeah, I don't need their services, yet.......

Just wondering if there was one closer to Sinky where I live? I just want to make sure when I finally get one that I can get it there in time and not have issues. So I would take it there, and they would go from there? That makes it a little less daunting for me.

They close at 5 sharp on Saturday, so take a deer before 2:00pm. Sunday closed. The other nights they are there later, just call them. Just do it. Once you drop it off, it’s out of your hands until it’s all packaged up and you come to pick it up. That’s when you pay. Make sure you have some freezer space.
