Denver fair Lancaster Open carry.
So while at the fair I witnessed two people open carrying get stopped by four "security" guards and one constable who told the guys that the park had rules against carrying and they needed to leave.
The fuck? Not in a lawfully protected area. They argued back and forth about it being legal and whatnot. But they said "township says no guns in parks".
This was at the Denver fair in Lancaster county. Anyone going or went?

Re: Denver fair Lancaster Open carry.
No plans on going, but sure sounds like a pre-emption violation.

They're probably unaware of preemption or just don't care. My nephew lives there and the vibe I get is progressive redneck. They're country folk that have liberal ideals.

Re: Denver fair Lancaster Open carry.
It's not a preemption violation for them to have rules against firearms in the park. They can not CRIMANALIZE at the local level possession of a firearm in the park... that would be a preemption violation.

Re: Denver fair Lancaster Open carry.
Unless someone got some names, there's no way to file a Private Criminal Complaint against the offending individuals operating under the color of law.
On a separate note, what's a Constable doing in the mix?
