Re: Denver fair Lancaster Open carry.
As SteelCity mentioned above. As a representative of the owner of the property, they ask you to leave. If you don't leave they cite you for trespassing. The offense is failure to leave as directed.
How a judge would rule on it, we don't know. But we've had judges recently decide that a statute that says "any person" excludes PA residents.

Re: Denver fair Lancaster Open carry.
"Asking" an open-carrying (or any armed) constitutionally right person to leave government property because they are exercising said right should fall into the same category as asking a person to leave based on any other constitutional violation....a civil rights violation prosecutable in a federal court. Unless and until that scenario becomes an accepted PC no-no, we will remain in danger of untoward applications by citizens and judges alike.

Re: Denver fair Lancaster Open carry.
i live in denver, i have opened carried multiply times around town while walking the dog. Never had a problem with east cocalico police. So my guess it would be the rent-a-cops that were "in charge".

Re: Denver fair Lancaster Open carry.
Let me paint you a picture of the stupidity that you are dealing with here. Denver Borough had a tree service come in and cut down 80-90% of the trees in Denver park because a bug MAY come and infest these particular species of tree and kill them. They spent almost $100,000 cutting down these very nice and very healthy old growth tress that made the park rather nice to be in. Now the park looks like shit compared to what it was.
These people care little about preemption violations or the rights of the people. A problem we are dealing with here in these townships is city transplants moving in and getting themselves in positions in the townships to get what they want.(several being hired as employees) I have not been going to the Denver fair anymore, been over decade. But it sounds like there needs to be an open carry get together next year.
