Looking for my first machine gun to put into my trust. Considering a mac. Looking for references that can explain the process and guide me through. And learn what happens if for some reason the stamp doesnt get approved. Buying a $6,000 and stamp not getting approved after 6 months seems nerve racking. Want to work with some good people

As many know, we don't do "NFA trusts" here, but when we do LLC's for NFA holding, I stand behind the client and walk them through their first transfer or Form 1, as part of the same price. I'd assume that whomever did your trust should do the same.

A lot of dealers are not happy and willing to do transfers to NFA trusts, but some are. Dennis and Jennie have a very good reputation in the community, I'd start with them.

Do you have contact information for them? Also why do dealers not like to use a trust. If i already have it set up and have stamps for a sbs and silencer that shows the trust has been accepted by the atf. Just curious for my own knowledge. Thank you

Paperwork. A standard form 4(or1) to an individual is a fairly simple thing. Some of the trusts/corps can be complex and require handling a lot of paperwork. They can be E-filed which requires scanning the documents via computer. We had one that had 38 pages in the trust paperwork.

The contact info is in post #2 supplied by GunLawyer001.

It's really sad. $20K for a rock bottom M16 reweld?

Jason, you don't need a dealer, you've done this before. You will get the best deal with a WTB ad. There are people out there that want to sell in this economy but are not interested in posting an ad and dealing with creeps and want $1K more than a dealer will offer. You can get your MAC lower than $6K if you post a WTB ad for in-state only in my opinion. I actually got my MAC because a dealer told me a private party had it for sale. Screaming deal, but I doubt that is a common occurrence.
