Personally I've never understood people who buy glocks. They are just an overpriced hipoint & without a safety to boot. High points are priced exactly where glocks were going to be, until a marketing guy sold glock on the fact that Americas won't buy it because cheap = crap, regardless of the facts.

I don't own a Glock. I sure looked at them a lot. They simply don't fit my hand well. I wanted to try a "Plastic gun". I bought an XD. I like it. I thought it would be lighter. Strangely enough, fully loaded it is heavier than my 1911, 7+1 vs. 13+1, loaded with 230 gr. GDHP. The XD does have a grip safety like the 1911 and a "trigger safety" like a Glock. I've only had the XD for a couple of years. I still mostly carry a 1911. I think primarily because I have carried a 1911 for many decades.
