First time asked to cover up: Via Marconi's Pizza Pub
Have OCed at Via Marconi's Pizza Pub in Hatfield plenty of times, never a problem. Went this evening with my toddler daughter and my mom. Got seated, ordered, and the a lady comes up and in a nice way asks if I could cover my S&W model 58. She said some customers had complained to her. At this point we had waited 30 mins. To seat and my toddler was hungry, so I smiled and covered up.
I will not be going back there anymore, and I will make it know to management. To others in the area, be aware that OC is not welcomed.

Well, they didn't ask you to leave, so there's that. As a business, perhaps the action was the best happy medium in attempt to accommodate all customers.

You should have looked around for a black, muslim or gay person and said that they make you uncomfortable, and you'd like them to cover up as well.

The stupidity of asking him to cover it is beyond me . Do the morons think that because he covered it up it magically disappeared and left the establishment.

Hmmm So liberals are relaxed by covering things up maybe we should just start throwing blankets over their heads like we do with bird cages so they stay nice, calm and relaxed and the rest of us can enjoy our lives. Maybe give them a mirror too so they think they have a like minded buddy under their blanky too.

Remember it is all about emotion with liberals. Out of sight, out of mind. Yes it is a mental disorder.

I am always more comfortable seeing who's armed. Generally criminals don't open carry.

Yes, it was very stupid that the logic was if the big scary revolver is covered up, it magically goes away. I had a big iguana lizard as a kid. Whenever he didn't like something, he'd merely close his eyes. He wouldn't run away, or bite, or turn; just close his eyes because that makes everything go away.
Normally, if I were alone, I would have politely excused myself and left. If the food already was out, I'd have paid and left. But when you have a family with you, things change. But this won't prevent me from not going back again. There are other fine pizza joints in the area.

There were a lot of things I could have said (politely of course) had I not been with family and my young daughter.
There were a lot of people and families there. My mom said I was getting some 'looks' that were not too polite while we were waiting to be seated. I guess it was some busy-body trouble maker who decided to go out of their way (call over a manager) to tell on me.
I swear, some people are really infantile.
