Default Best .22 semi for suppressors?

OK folks, In holding pattern with ATF for my stamp on a suppressor. Went with a Silencerco sparrow can.

    Looking at the following .

    Ruger .22/45
    M&P .22
    Colt 1911 in .22
    Sig in .22

Any others I should consider?? offer them up please, all my current .22 handguns are wheel guns . I don't want to re-barrel the existing collection, looking to ADD to the collection.

Anyone with first hand experience that cares to share first hand knowledge would be greatly appreciated...

Heading to Split Rock tomorrow with intentions to come home with something, just not sure what.

    Snert..

The Ruger SR22 can come with a threaded barrel, although I don't have suppressed experience with it. It's a sweet shooter otherwise though.

Try the Smith&Wesson 622, 422, 2213, or 2214. low barrel high sights, and just need a barrel adapter.

If going with a Ruger, go with the SR22. I have one and my Silencerco Specter works great on it. You do have to buy the one with the threaded barrel (you get an adapter to mount to the barrel and the can mounts on the adapter). The 22/45 will work, but if you are using subsonic .22's it may hiccup ever now and then because of the weight of the bolt versus the power of the subsonic round. No problem with the SR22, the bolt doesn't have as much mass.

I have a Sig mosquito that I run an AAC Element can on. Great ergonomics, whisper quiet, really only eats Min-Mags reliably, and has the worse fucking trigger in the world...

    So yeah... skip the Sig.

(Yes, i know that a careful polish of the trigger bar, hammer hooks and sear face will clean up most of this, but I should not have to fix a 22 trigger!)

22/45 lite with suppressor rules. Mine runs subsonic fine. I also have a Walther P22 (the target one with the longer barrel). It's vey accurate & runs a variety of ammo as well, but the grip is too small for my hands. The 22/45 lite is full size without the extra weight.

I looked at 2 versions of the 22/45 lite yesterday for giggles at gander. One had the skeleton barrel shroud in blue, the other was all black solid shroud. could not feel a difference between weight with barrel shroud changes, sticker was 499.00.
Now I would NOT buy from gander due to their over pricing of many firearms. So I will look around today and see what I can find at split rock, heading out in about 10 minutes...

We demo our 22 suppressors on a M&P22. They (but not the CA model) already have a threaded barrel, but they do require a barrel adapter.

Check out the M&P 22 Compact. Another great choice.

The M&P 22s tend to eat a lot of different kinds of ammo and are less finicky than some other guns.
