Re: Trump on Guns
I don't think he has a realistic shot at being President. My hope is that he forces the other Republican candidates to address ILLEGAL immigration, the economy, and our destroyed standing in the world. Obama, with Fundamental Transformation, has really made the USA a joke on the world stage.

The father was in a different location when he stated "he may have to buy a gun."

Re: Trump on Guns
Actually my instinct here is that he is going to win and win big. I also will roll the dice and say he is going to take Ted Cruz with him as VP.
I believe Trump will win because he's brought tons of energy and dynamic nationalism to the race. For several decades since Reagan we've had all these guys that mumble staring at their shoes and are weak and feckless. I travel a lot all over the country and talk to lots of people and people everywhere are just sick of these weaklings and they want a fighter who has no fear of taking hits from the leftists and PC crowd. Society has fallen pray to these PC leftist tards and their bullying for years. Trump has shown these people are big barkers with no bite and that has shown people they don't need to hide their opinions in the corner. It's a popular uprising.

Re: Trump on Guns
My take is now the country is over 50% takers, and don't care, nor want to be a world leader, nor have economic prowess. As more, and more Mexicans pour over the border, it is getting progressively worse. Trump will scare the religious right, and also many conservatives, as he has supported Democrats in the past, and even has supported more gun control measures.
However, I don't have a good thought about any of the Republican candidates other than Trump. He is an egomaniacal demagogue somewhat similar to Obama, just in the private sector. He is saying a lot of great things though, and saying them in a manner that is very attractive because it is refreshing not hearing PC, parsed, double speak that is "safe" from ALL other politicians.

Trump's "position" -- and his flip-flopping -- is pretty transparent. He played the left; now he's playing the right. His loyalty is to Donald Trump.
Narcissistic personality disorder
Definition
By Mayo Clinic Staff
Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for admiration and a lack of empathy for others. But behind this mask of ultraconfidence lies a fragile self-esteem that's vulnerable to the slightest criticism.
A narcissistic personality disorder causes problems in many areas of life, such as relationships, work, school or financial affairs. You may be generally unhappy and disappointed when you're not given the special favors or admiration you believe you deserve. Others may not enjoy being around you, and you may find your relationships unfulfilling.

Re: Trump on Guns
I don't think he ever tried to keep it secret. I suspect that is part of the reason he is refreshing. Any politician we generally encounter has narcissistic personality disorder. Folks have to do what they have to do to get where they want to go. Most politicians conceal their disorder, and that undermines the perception of their integrity.

IIRC , Trump's son Donald Jr. is a fairly regular competition High Power shooter and has shot at matches in PA and NJ as well as Camp Perry.

Re: Trump on Guns
While Cruz is my top choice, I do think you are right on both predictions.
Bernie Sanders will be the Dem nominee and Trump (or any GOP candidate) will destroy him in debates.
Cruz seems to be playing the safe route and not going after Trump right now. Trump IS right, every opponent that goes after him crashes and burns in polls. Cruz is smart enough to see this and is taking the safe path of survival to be the only alternate choice to Trump left standing. It will come down to Trump or Cruz with Cruz just sitting there safely waiting for Trump to take himself out. I think only Trump can beat Trump right now.
If Trump does something to wreck his own run, it's Cruz. Otherwise I do see a Trump/Cruz ticket, which is probably unbeatable. The Dems do not have a young, exciting candidate this time. It's going to be an insane old man in Sanders, a criminal old lady in Clinton, another crazy old man and plagiarist in Biden or a complete joke and wash-up with Gore. Martin O'Malley SHOULD be their way to go as he's young, has legislative experience, is a rabid promoter of their extreme views and honestly, looks like a Hollywood TV and movie President. I'm actually VERY relieved he's not getting any traction in the polls because he's the one I worry about us beating...and is also the most anti-gun candidate they have.Galations 6:9...And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Re: Trump on Guns
Again, you make good points. I do not know what use a confused zealot would be to Bloomberg, that is, wanting gun laws one second, then feeling the need to buy one the next second. Do not believe for a second the pro-gun activists will not jump on this inconsistency if Bloomberg sends him out to push an anti-gun agenda like a trained monkey.
