Remington 870 trigger job
The trigger on my 870 express feels "mushy" to me. Has anyone here done a trigger job on an 870? If so, what did you do? I would like a "crisper" trigger break.

Re: Remington 870 trigger job
You can get a new sear spring for it. Google remington 870 trigger group springs and they will come up.
Heres an oem from midway that should lighten it up. Aftermarket ones are available too. Hope this helps out a bit.

Re: Remington 870 trigger job
There are thousands of web pages with good writeups with pictures and probably around 100 Youtube video's on it and Just Google it.
Be careful though if you don't pay attention it will be unsafe. Try adjusting it before trying anything else.

Re: Remington 870 trigger job
ckellyme3...thanks for the response. I'll look into changing out the spring. Not looking to lighten it much, just wanting a crisper break.

Delkal... I have looked at some of the videos specific to the 870, but didn't see anything about adjusting it. Perhaps I just missed it. Thanks for the response, I'll do more searching.
