Default Need advice on gun safes

Currently I have my guns stored in a Stack-on gun cabinet. I am looking to purchase a gun safe due to my collection growing and to provide better security.
I have researched about every brand and would like some reviews of what brand you own as well as how you like it, maybe pros and cons.

    Thanks Jim

Just one person's opinion. ------- Don't get the electronic push button lock. Search PAFOA and/or the internet for the reasons.

I saw one on Facebook recently that has a pull out rack for your long guns, instead of reaching into the safe to pull out long guns you slide out this rack, kind of like a dish washer, so the long guns are very easy to get to. That's most people's gripe about gun safes; getting to the long guns in the back. I'm using home made wood rifle rods in my safe to make it easier to get out long guns, as opposed to the factory divider racks.

I think door storage is crucial. My Liberty Fat Boy has a great door organizer for long guns, documents, magazines, etc. I love my Liberty Fatboy and I do have an electronic lock. I've been in and out of it almost daily, sometimes multiple times a day, for the past 3 years and I haven't even had to change the battery yet. Very happy with it.

My buddy just got one that has an electronic key pad and a combination lock, seems like the best of both worlds. He's all about EMP proof. If I need another safe I will look into that.

All my guns are stored in hermetically sealed containers and buried in ground no one knows I use. Sure is a pain in the ass to drive there, dig up the one I want, and drive home when I hear somebody prying on a window of our home :-(

And then get one bigger. I've out grown everyone I bought. I want a whole room but the wife won't give it up. Some lame excuse about "needing" a spare bedroom for the grandkids.

    I will second that.

I have a beautiful metallic-paint finished safe which I bought 15 years ago, and I open it more than once per day on average (maybe not every day, but some days multiple times) with a digital lock. I've changed the combination a few times as well. Sure, it takes a battery, but it warns with a multiple-beep on opening when it's starting to run low.... and even then, it will work for about 4 more weeks with my usage.

Liberty Safes are made in America with a lifetime warranty, can't really argue with that.
