Cinnaminson teen fatally shot by PA police
A recent Cinnaminson High School graduate was shot to death Monday after authorities said he exchanged gunfire with police responding to a gunshop burglary in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.
Joshua Malave, 18, graduated from Cinnaminson in June, and worked at the local ShopRite.
"The Malave family is in our thoughts and prayers," said Cinnaminson Superintendent Salvatore Illuzzi.
Monday, police responded to a burglary alarm at the Horseshoe Pike Gunshop in Campbelltown, Pa. about 15 miles from Harrisburg, where Malave was seen crawling in a soybean field across the street, said Lebanon County District Attorney David Arnold.

so, the lesson to be learned is, a Darwin award makes one hell of a graduation present.
went from a felony that carried prison time, to one that carried the death penalty. There is no greater sorrow than to recall in misery the time when we were happy - Dante.

Re: Cinnaminson teen fatally shot by PA police
Why does the superintendent care about the family of an obvious felon? Somebody stupid and immoral enough to burglarize a shop then shoot it out with the cops deserves no sympathy.

Re: Cinnaminson teen fatally shot by PA police
Anyone read about the NJ troubles the kid had last month? Goes out in the woods with some buddies to shoot a rifle, i'm assuming 18 & old enough to have a rifle, someone complains of shots, the police show up and he ends up in jail with $100K bail?!?!
When I was a kid the state police would have kindly asked us to be sure there were no houses beyond the direction we were shooting, then challenged us to a quick 10 round match shooting beer cans we collected along the road. I would have lost faith in humanity too, having to live in a shithole like NJ and putting up with crap like that!

All I'll say is, it wasn't fun waking to a state police Helicopter overhead, and the scanner going nuts with fire police requests, and radio traffic. At least I knew to head to Palmyra, and 422, to buy pass the scene if I needed to travel.
