I remember a while back some dumbass politician found an advertisement for a 300-round Airsoft magazine that looked like a standard AR magazine and they went absolutely batshit crazy over it.

I wonder if this guy found an advertisement for a 1,000-round Airsoft drum...

Lets see the citizens pull a New York. In 365 days I bet the anti-rights coty council will have 1%, maybe 2%, of those dreaded 'high capacity assault magazines'. Shannon Watts, Little Napoleon & their minions will claim victory, and the rest of us will all know the inside joke.

One of the places where a standard capacity mag. is actually NEEDED and they take away the citizen's right to own it. Oh wait, retired LAPD are going to be allowed to retain their SC mags., sounds about par for the course.

If I ever step foot in that hell-hole, I deserve to be shot!

I'm curious what they're going to do about certain magazines that hold multiple calibers.

Like, say, a Glock 27 magazine that is stamped for 40 S&W and will hold 9 rounds of 40 S&W. Perfectly legal in L.A. But it'll also hold 11 rounds of 9x19mm and work in a Glock 26.

Or an AR-platform magazine stamped for 50 Beowulf and rated to hold 10 rounds of 50 Beowulf. Perfectly legal in L.A. But it'll also hold 30 rounds of 223 Remington or 300 Blackout.

"Nobody knows more about firearm safety than I do," he added, underscoring the notion that with the proper training, people could possess such magazines safely.

"consider an amendment to the gun magazine ordinance that would exempt retired police officers."

What affords them more right to self defense than the peasants?

Cause they're retired 5-0. Anyone who lasts long enough in the 5-0 to retire is "one of them."

I just reread the 2nd amendment 71 times and couldn't find any reference to it.
