New AR complete with new troubles.
I completed a new AR15 build last night upper and lower from sourced parts it went together very smoothly and looks great so right then and there I should have known it was just too easy. I put 40 rounds through it and I am having feed issues meaning I can get 1 to 2 shots off before I get a "click" on an empty chamber. Charge the rifle once again and the process repeats it's self as above.
Components used:
Anderson Upper and lower
AIM V2 Nitride BCG
Faxon 4150 QPQ 18" Gunners barrel
RRA NM 2 Stage trigger
RRA A2 Stock and rifle buffer kit.
CMMG LPK
Anderson UPK
1. Using Independence 5.56
2. Ruled out the lower by swapping to a Spikes I have had for some time.
3. Happened in both GI and Magpul mags.
4. The Compensator is not tightened it requires a crush waster since it will not time correctly.
This build required rifle length gas tube I am thinking the rifle maybe under gassed and not cycling the bolt all the way but that is just a guess.
Good news is the RRA NM trigger is excellent I really like it a lot and the Burris AR332 was dead on at 50 yards right out of the box.

Pulled the FF and inspected the gas block and tube everything appears to be correct.
Here's a link to the barrel and block from AIM.

Using a RRA A2 Stock and rifle length buffer kit.
Here's the buffer that came with the A2 stock.

Try different ammo before you condemn the rifle.

Re: New AR complete with new troubles.
Is that the Faxxon gas block? Make sure Faxxon/Aim didn't send you a .750 job.

NOT to start a war, but my AR troubles led me to a relationship with the AK. Now I dance without missing a beat!

Re: New AR complete with new troubles.
Yes, I found a case where that happened.
"Hi Nathan. Just wanted to let you know I received my 14.5 pencil yesterday and its a very nice looking barrel. However, it seems the wrong gas block was shipped with my order. I ordered the .625 gas block with the barrel and it looks like I received the .750 gas block in the package. The gas block looks fantastic, by the way. What would be the best way for us to get this fixed? My order number is 2789. Thanks."
It would slide on very very easy I'm just trying to check the duh boxes!I always sleep with my guns when you are gone
