    Default Introduction to IDPA

Disclaimer first - I have no vested interest in this venture. Simply posting as a PSA and the instructor is a friend of mine.

Saturday, August 15th at Easton Fish & Game Association (in the special events pits). Stuart Gepp, a SSP Master Class shooter will conduct a class/live fire titled Introduction to IDPA. The class will be a minimum of 4 hours and include a summary of the rules and actual shooting of some IDPA stages. Attendees need to have suitable IDPA equipment* (for safety, no concealment garment required) and have at least a year's general shooting experience. The cost is $90 and pre-registration is required. Class size is limited.

    *Suitable Equipment
    1) Firearm
    2) Belt mounted holster that covers the trigger - no drop/offset holsters allowed for male shooters
    3) Minimum of 3 magazines or speedloaders
    4) Two single or one dual mag pouch. Revolvers - three speedloader pouches
    5) 100 - 150 rounds of ammunition

Once you try Practical Shooting you will never want to go back to standing in one spot shooting at static targets again. Join the fun - plenty of matches in the surrounding area.

Go to the sanctioning organizations webites (IDPA & USPSA) and you can find clubs in your area that hold matches.
