I have to say that the sheriff's office a pleasure to do the paperwork at today. The LEO's where nice and laughed and joked with me, I was in and out in 25min. It was so easy, I gotta say our sheriff is doing well on this area.

Yeah my renewal there in May went the same way. They are a cool bunch.
For those who don't know, the McKean County Sheriff's office is in the same building as the county prison. You go into a foyer and there are two doors, a large steel prison-type security door and a glass door off to the side that has the Sheriff's offices inside. Of course, the BIG RED SIGN at the entrance states no cameras no photographs no cell phones no weapons etc., allowed. I asked the deputy about having to leave my 357 "cell phone" in the car in the parking lot to get in here and he was clear that the prison was "over there" and not here. THIS was the Sheriff's office.
Not sure I would test that, though, since I plan on being there only every 5 years.....
