Default Paddle holster for around the house/range

Was thinking about getting a Safariland paddle holster for around the house or at the range, something easy to put on/take off and not expensive.

Curious how they work for us bigger guys as I see the paddle is plastic and sort of L shape? Does it dig into you or is it ok?

I have an Safariland ALS paddle and love it, I use it around my property and when I do open carry around my town. It's built well and is very comfortable for all day wear. I am 6'3" and around 225lbs of that helps.

I have one of the Fobus ones the I carried with briefly until I got a better holster but still will use it at the range. I am not a small guy at all and I thought it was very comfortable.

I'm not a bigger guy by any means. But, I use a Safariland 6378 for concealed (winter) / open carry (summer) and a Blackhawk Serpa for range use.

I have used a blackhawk and found it comfortable. I did modify the hold on a bit to make it easier to get on and off.

Safariland didn't have one for my HK P2000SK, so I opted for a Fobus which I wear very regularly... No discomfort here.

I use a fobus all the time. I usually carry a P11 since I can totally conceal it. I do use them for my S&W's 59's and 1911.

So I had a safariland 568 holster that only had a belt loop attachment and I decided to buy just the paddle to see if I liked it. It came today and I installed it, although not 100% sure it's right. There's a small plastic wedge shaped piece that goes on the bottom screw hole but the directions suck. It looks like you install the wedge upside with the wedge jutting out towards your body so it can lock onto your belt??

Well, if thats the case, then I have to remove my pants to put it on and take it off. I cannot get the paddle and wedge around my belt otherwise, unless it loosens up over time?

I found this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPAlWr5FUp8 for another model paddle holster and i do have the little wedge thingy installed correctly.

this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1e3jCYi9OMI shows to put on and take off the paddle holster but I am not having as much luck as this guy. Also, with my 1.5" gun AG leather gunbelt on (tightened as far as it will go, the gun like flops outward way to far.
