    Thumbs up Hbg. Hospital o/c

I was working last night in the lobby, low and behold I turned and there it was o/c in my face. Made me feel good to see another. Did not say anything, he was busy with a crowd of expecting parents going to class I guess. If your here just saying howdy.

Hbg Hospital doesn't care about carrying? Only curious because I've read other post about hospitals not allowing any carrying at all. Also, I went there one time with a buddy to see his relative and I disarmed thinking it wouldn't be allowed and I didn't want to get there to have to walk back to the parking garage to remove my gun.

Gonna have to admit, this is news to me also. Do they not have signs up? I thought they did at one time. Interesting.

I've taken people to that hospital middle of the night...I'd carry too if I could.

    Hospitals are odd though.

LGH has armed security some are active police officers (moonlighting? I think is the term).

Not sure about other Lancaster City hospitals.

Ephrata well span hospital has security guards, not armed. I think they have pepper spray? That's about it. It's laughable.

Reading Hospital is a bit of a joke. By the ER they have a metal detector (no armed guards, as of my last time there) with security there. Buuuut you can walk around to the other side of the hospital and enter there.

Never seen armed security at Hershey either.

4 out of 4 times I've been armed at reading hospital and never gone through the metal detector. I've gone through the ER entrance twice too. I know a guy that works there I will ask about it today.

The entrance that dumps to the ER admission desk.

It's been maybe two months since I've been there.

He only hospital I am aware of that has armed security is children's hospital in Philly.

Not geisinger, evangelical, Holy Spirit, Harrisburg (pinnacle), Sunbury, Altoona (UPMC), JC Blair or Hershey.

Sorry, been away. I spend a lot of time working at hbg. Hospital. I have not noticed any signs but I usually use the main entrance. Can not say for sure what security would say never thought to ask. Guess I ought to do that just out of curiosity. The gentleman that I spoke about was being discrete about it as he was using a inside the waistband type holster. Not much firearm showing but it was there. Looked to be one of the ruger models that has the silver slide and black polymer frame. When I go and off the clock I go cc. Just a personal preference not any criticism on those that oc.
