Default Scoping Henry Carbine 22 LR

I was thinking of one of two old scopes, but was also looking for suggestions for new manufacture scopes less than $150, say fixed 4x or 6x, or 2-7 about magnification scopes. For target up to 100 yds and popping squirrels.

My old scopes are an old weaver 4x or an old redfield 2-7.

    Thanks!

Both of your old scopes are good ones, so it becomes a zoom or no-zoom question from there. I personally like the Redfield 2-7 if you are chasing squirrels, there are times when the fixed scope will drive you crazy trying to look through the branches and foliage of trees, and the little one is playing hide and seek.

    Good luck and happy hunting!

For about $70 Konus makes a great 2-7x32mm Rimfire scope that I've had great experiences with.

Thanks, I'll give that some thought! I've heard good things about the Konus stuff.

I would second the Konus. I purchased a Millet for my Win 9422 Mag. I can't recall the variable adjustments right now, but I use it to hunt fox in Allegheny County (you can't use an evil centerfire .17 there) and I wanted a scope with a lighted reticle that didn't cost as much as a BMW. They quit making the Millet...but the scope still works just fine.

I do have a couple of nice millett scopes, they are nice for the money.
