Alien Gear 2.0
I bought a new summer carry gun, I wanted something smaller than my full size Glock or S&W. I have the Crossbreed for the Glock, and an alien gear for the S&W, both have the leather backing. I was thinking of the Alien Gear Cloak tuck 2.0 with the neoprene backing for the new gun. I like both of the above holster but felt the neoprene would be a better option for summer carry, Any thoughts on the AG 2.0 holster.
Thanks

Re: Alien Gear 2.0
It's a very comfortable holster. A lot more comfortable than any leather crossbreed style holster I ever tried. Also the neoprene will protect your gun from sweat. I highly recommend the tuck 2.0 to anybody who wants a crossbreed style holster.

Re: Alien Gear 2.0
Thanks I was a little concerned about gun retention with the neoprene backing, On Alien Gears site there are reviews for the leather backing, but no one has rated the neoprene so far.

Re: Alien Gear 2.0
I have absolutely no problem with recommending the Cloak... very comfortable even in hot weather, never had a problem with retention.
One thing to consider, if you are really fat re-holstering may be an issue since the flexible construction will tend to "bend over" slightly... It's a minor inconvenience for me but at least you should be aware...
It doesn't change my recommendation

I returned mine-thought it was a total piece of s***.
Can't reholster safely one handed. Its cheap and you get what you pay for.
To each his own though..Now less Glock, more H&K :)

Just looking at them they seem to be made poorly and are a cheap way to go about things.

Re: Alien Gear 2.0
Buying a holster is like buying a pair of shoes. You have to try it out to be sure, but often that's not an option without buying. That's why so many have a drawer full of holsters. I wasn't real thrilled with either AlienGear, version 1 or 2, though I thought the 2 was better. I kept it though, for when I do need to tuck. Alien Gear does have a 30 day return policy though.
Not tuckable, but I'm currently using a standard Remora. I like that you can position it anywhere in any position as you're not limited to any clips. I believe they make a tuckable version also.

AG now has the Cloak 3... has some type of spring steel inner, I assume to increase stiffness while the outer part remains soft
