    Default Uber bans you

If you have a concealed weapon you cannot ride in an uber car,
    How will they know?
I'd rather have a gun in my hand then a cop on the phone.

Uber claims to be a software company that connects passengers with drivers, and not a taxi service, right?

This is like Microsoft saying they don't want any weapons in vehicles with the Sync system

That's great news for the jitneys. No sane Uber driver will take a fare to Homewood or Beltzhoover when word gets around the hood that all of their drivers are unarmed.

    Just saw this. Absolutely stupid.

They "want to make sure riders and drivers feel comfortable". So their solution is to ban legally carried guns?! Guess the company's San Fran roots caught up with them.

And this AFTER the Uber driver in Chicago was credited with saving lives. WTF...

Also the key question here is how will they know?! It's just an app platform you use to find fares or rides. Guess what - FUCK their policy if you're using it to make a living. It's your own car.

    link to an article. http://dailycaller.com/2015/06/19/ub...ts-gun-policy/

This shows the influence of a true anti. There is no reason to take a stand on this one way or the other. A criminal is not going to say "shit, can't use Uber since i have a gun ". More like "i need an easy target, time to call uber" In fact, I think that should be Ubers new motto. I guess they would have preferred for more people to have been shot in that shooting the Uber driver stopped a couple of months ago.

Changing their policy is idiotic. I almost wished i was an uber customer so I could stop using them.
