    Default non-resident concealed carry permit

unfortunately, I allowed my Pennsylvania non-resident carry permit to expire. I am in New York and have a full carry permit in New York. How hard is it for me to renew my Pennsylvania nonresident carry permit?

    Thanx.

The requirement is that you have a permit from your home state, which you do. Should be as simple as driving to the closest sheriffs office to you that processes non-resident LTCFs, filling out the app and paying the cash. I believe some do not issue out of state and unfortunately I think most only accept apps in person. Call up a few to find out.

Yup, just make a some phone calls and go from there. May take a little leg work, but technically you qualify.

    1. Technically, ALL PA sheriffs are supposed to issue to non-residents. Technically. Practically, call ahead or check here for a sticky to be sure.
    2. The process is EXACTLY the same for initial and renewal - same form and so forth - with just a check box to differentiate. The steps for the sheriff are the same.
    3. I'm not sure if it applies to non-residents but there is a grace period of 6 months to renew, during which you can stay out of trouble so long as you are still eligible to get one.

Susquehanna and Bradford counties will not process your NR permit. Luzerne and Lackawanna will, not sure about Wyoming.

And the Tioga County sheriff is making up his own rules, also.

Yes. Since you have a NYS CCW license you should qualify for the CCW exception for vehicular transport (6109(b)(11)). This allows you to use a vehicle to transport the firearm to/from places of OC.

You cannot possess with 1000' of a school zone under Federal law.

You cannot OC in Phila or during a state of emergency.
