A little out of place here, but a reminder that Memorial Day is "Fish for free Day" for those of us that only get out once a year anyway. There are two free days a year and I did not get out on either last year. Oh well, maybe this year.

It's not actually Memorial Day. The fish for free day is on Sunday. The 24th. Not on the 25th.

Can't say as I blame you. My Daughter turned 16 this year and now needs a license. I got on the fish commission website and bought her and I both a license with the combo trout/Erie tag, $74 friggin dollars. Ridiculous.

I fished last Labor Day in pa. 1 day $2.99. I can fish NY for $50 a year and catch 30lb fish. Compare 100 12" fish to a couple of 10-30lbs I'll drive. I am vacationing this year at a lake. So I'll be buying a lic around July. Happy fishing
