Default Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs Metal Detectors

Planning on going to a Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs game and just wanted to know if anyone has been there recently? Do they have metal detectors/pat downs?

Just to give others a more recent update. I attended an Iron Pigs game on 8/7/2017 and there are no metal detectors set up.

Affirmative. Just went last night and still no metal detectors. Unless they’re automated and not visible.

I'm going to speak with an attorney this week, but figured I'd ask here if anybody knew.

I came across some website that had list of places where concealed carry is not allowed even with LTCF, and it included public places where large crowds gather like sports arenas. I don't ever remember hearing that before in any seminar or training class.

In Coca Cola Park, I didn't see any signs posted, but I did call the stadium last season and the operator said firearms are prohibited.

So is it legal to carry there?

    As I understand it...

If it's a private business, and you have a gun, and they prohibit guns, and someone in a position of authority recognizes you have a gun, all they can do is ask you to leave. If this is the case, plead ignorance, and immediately comply. You will likely be fine.

If it's a government or federal building, and you have a gun, they prohibit guns,, you get caught, then you can face charges.

Costco prohibits guns unless you're law enforcement. I carry a gun in costco every time. They do not have metal detectors. It has not been a problem.

Local court house prohibits guns unless you're law enforcement. I never carry a gun in the local court house. They do have metal detectors. It has not been a problem.

Here's what I'm a bit worried about. In order for a shooting to be considered justifiable use of deadly force, one of the things that must be satisfied is that you are at a place where you can legally carry. So if you shoot somebody in Costco, can you have a problem? Even if it's clearly self-defense, but because carry is not allowed there, you would carrying where you are not allowed to carry and the shooting could be deemed unjustified? I'm asking, not telling.

That is a valid concern. But the question is not where you are allowed to carry, but rather where you are legally allowed to carry. As far as I know, company policy doesn't justify legality, but federal buildings, elementary schools, etc do justify it being illegal carry.

I'm not telling, I'm asking. Has this come up before in a legal battle?
