    Default Joing CMP-Affiliated Club

So I've been trying to figure out how to become a member of the CMP for the longest time, and I just want to double check my facts - but the Garand Collector's Association would be a way to do so. Right? Just want to make sure before I spend $25 ...

Unfortunately I don't think there's any CMP-affliated clubs in my area (last time I checked anyways); and even if so - I probably wouldn't be able to make the cut for membership requirements.

Just looking for a way to be able to buy M1's in the future, and any related accessories (case, ammo, parts, etc).

You just have to belong to any gun club. I have my cmp membership and they accept my local gun club permit along with the other basic requirements. Good luck!
After checking, I guess the club does have to be "affiliated" with CMP - guess mine is - lol.

Why do I need a LTCF? ... anyways, can't get one since I'm not of age yet ...

That's like I was saying - I can't really join any clubs, since I won't be able to meet the meeting requirements since I'm off at college for the majority of the year.

Since none of your local clubs qualify then YES, this is the best and easiest way to go. And their magazine is pretty good too!

It is an eligible club and membership is $25 per year. They send you a couple of magazines (paper) and a video on the Garand. I shoot matches with one of the head guys there. Pretty cool set up they got.

Because it's the easiest way to become eligible to buy from the CMP.

Since you are not old enough to do it this way and there are no affiliated clubs in your area, I guess you're chances of joining the CMP are pretty limited.

You could still join the GCA and get certification from a range or club official or law enforcement officer who witness your shooting activity.

All state associations are considered affiliated clubs by the CMP.
Join the Pa Rifle & Pistol Assoc and you will be affilaited with the CMP.
The Pa State Assoc membership is $20.
