How to correctly and legally sell NJ aquired guns in PA?
Hello, I'm just beginning to look into this, so, I apologize if I'm asking a dumb question. I have been a resident of PA for 10 months now. I'm originally from Jersey and aquired 14 guns there, from legit dealers, over the last 35 years. I need to sell a few to help me over a temporary financial bind. I assume since these are Jersey registered, that I need to have any PA buyer fill out the paperwork Jersey requires? Anything else I need to know about private sales here in PA? Links to resources would be welcome, I will proceed with all due caution as again, I'm just getting started with the idea of selling a few. THANK YOU in advance for all links and advice.

It was legal to bring those guns here when you changed your residence to PA. Forget about NJ, they no longer have anything to do with it anymore unless any of those firearm were NFA which I doubt. You can sell long arms and black powder arms to a private individual in Pa without an FFL. Private handguns sales in this state have to go through an FFL.

New Jersey is over for you, Fughettaboutit.
Sell long guns to anyone you want (unless you know they are prohibited) and sell handguns at an FFL.
Whatever you "registered" in Jersey will never mean a damn thing again.
Now, if you want to change PA laws to recognize NJ laws, or mirror NJ laws, you certainly can try. Matter of fact, we have a rally in Harrisburg on May 12 to discuss our concerns with PA legislators and I will have an extra 55 gallon H drum along with us.

Sell your long guns to another PA resident with only a handshake. Look at their ID to confirm they are a pa resident and are old enough if you have any doubt.
Pistol need to go through a gun shop so the FFL can do the paperwork on the buyer.
Long guns to out of state residents need to also go through a gun shop.

Re: How to correctly and legally sell NJ aquired guns in PA?
Thank you for all replies. Believe me, I'm quite happy to no longer have to deal with the overly restrictive NJ firearms laws and have no desire that my new home state should "mirror" same. As far as I can see, most of the NJ gun law only complicates things for legit owners. Glad to be here! I'll probably be posting in the classified section here shortly.
