Heat wave#2

Just wanted to see how everyone else is coping with this heat wave.
I just came off a roof working on a A/C unit and I think I drank a gallon of water and it all came out in the form of sweat. But hope I can keep cool during the weekend.

I am off again this week, so I am sitting in the air conditioned parlor watching tv. I tried to take the dogs out earlier. i gave up after about a mile or so.

I freakin' hate summer! I am a cold weather kinda dude! You can always put more layers of clothing on, but no one want's to see me take it off!

Well I hate winter, once I get chilled it takes me until mid May to get rid of it BUT I also can't tolerate this kind of heat. Thankfully we don't have to leave the house unless we need to.

I did roofing many MANY years ago in Texas ... now you want to talk about brutal. We started as early as possible and took a 3 hour lunch to beat the hottest part of the day. They also required us to take salt tablets (which now BTW is illegal for a business owner to do) but even with all that we still had guys dropping off roofs left and right.

OH and BTW, weatherman just said tomorrow is supposed to be worse than today .. oh joy, sounds like an indoors day to me.

it's just my friggen luck, we are having our wedding shower saturday and it's supposed to be upper 90's.....course we're having it outside, BBQ style at that.....hope people bring plenty to drink.............

I did landscaping for a few years so I've learned to tolerate the heat.
